Mac OS X error printing to Epson printer – solved

/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS/rastertoescpII failed

When I tried to print to my Epson Stylus SX515X it gave an unhelpful error message that "rastertoescpII failed"

The solution

This solution from Yuengdog1983 worked for me:

This issue may be a result of the Computer Name being left empty

• Open System Preferences and choose Sharing
• Enter a name for your computer
• Restart the Computer
• Test if you are able to print
  

It worked for me, and for Marcos Farhat, Bernard Perrin, rj1686, lalal14b, cwlb, WendyDM, AKM5, parcan64...
